Vultures of Culture: Detroit Rock with Bite

In this episode of One vs. The Feed, we take a sharp left turn no icons, no legends, just a message from a band called Vultures of Culture.

And we’re glad we listened.

Hailing from Detroit, Vultures of Culture isn’t trying to go viral. They’re trying to punch through the noise with raw riffs, tight hooks, and that rare thing in 2025 authenticity. Their track Catch and Release caught us off guard in the best way. A groove inside the punch. A riff with swing. Like a bar fight dressed in rhythm jagged, but smooth.

Sound-wise? Think Foo Fighters meets Stone Temple Pilots, with a side of Queens of the Stone Age and a Soundgarden aftertaste. They didn’t reinvent the wheel but they gave it fresh tread.

This isn’t chart-chasing. It’s music with conviction.

🎸 Live in Michigan? Catch them here:

  • August 13The Blind Pig, Ann Arbor
(w/ Horror Movies in The Morning, Yellow No. 5, Lanternfly)
  • August 22The Diesel Lounge, Chesterfield
    (w/ Sean Anthony Sullivan)

Support local rock. Turn it up. And don’t miss this one because One vs. The Feed is putting you on to something real.
